This year Möller Records celebrated 10 year of music. Since the label took off in 2011 Möller Records has released over 100 albums featuring close to 50 Icelandic artist spanning wide range of music and styles: Ambient to Acid, Techno to Trans, Downtempo to Jungle and almost everything in between. Here are the highlights of our 2021 in music
Helga 100th Anniversary Release
The Möller Records Year Anniversary Album featured selection of Möller Records Artists and releases 2011 - 2020. Released digitally and on double vinyl with the help of fans and supporters. Sadly we have had some hick-ups and delays resulting in vinyl being delivered later than originally planned. But we are hoping to see the light at the end of the tunnel and be able to deliver orders early next year.
Sólskin (Sunshine)
Sólskin by Ugly Since '91 was the second release of the year. A playful electronica influenced by house and techno. Ugly Since '91 is Alexander Gabriel and this was his second Möller Records release following his debut album 'Cocky-Yo'.
Disintegrate
einarIndra, well known for his smooth, emotional vocals ("what dreams are made of") and soulful retro-sounding electronica, returned with a new album “Disintegrate”. einarIndra has received a well earned attention for his music, described as Iceland´s most soulful electro artist and named “Artist To Watch” by Reykjavik Grapevine Music Awards in 2017. einarIndra released his first long play album “Stories” in 2016 in addition to number of EPs and Singles.

Eða eitthvað allt annað was G-Jákvæður (Geirharður Þorsteinsson) debut Möller Records album release. The album was written and recorded in two roughly 3 hour sessions in March 2021 as an attempt to make a soundtrack for a documentary film. The recordings progressed into an album, an immensely chill ambient soundscapes, broken up by hip hop beats and occasional bird songs.

We crated a selection of Spotify playlists but one we cherished a little more than the others. We asked our Möller Records Artists to select their favourite tracks and the outcome is a 3 hour long playlist featuring the tracks they love - from IDM, Braindance, Techno, Ambient, ElectroPop, EDM and more.
